The heat is on....

Another steamy one here, too hot today to stay outside but its about to pour down soon so temps will drop a tad. How strange this weather has been, 2 weeks ago it was only 12C, today's high is 31C with a humidex of 36C (85F, humidex of 90F).

I was off to teach a class this morning 1 of 5 this week. I taught a bodystep class and my goodness I thought I was going to puke when I was done. I pushed hard. Thank goodness I don't have to work today (my last vacation day) but I am teaching Bodypump tonight. This means lots of water, a powerade and some salty eats.

Question today: After I have a vigorous workout, I'm caput. I'm so exhausted I always need a nap but most times this is not possible. Any advice on what to eat or drink to not fatigue so much?

No advice here as I never seem to do anything vigorous! ;-)

Hope it cools down there for you a bit. The heat here has just wiped me out! At least I only have one more night of work and then 3 nights off so all I need to do is survive until then.

Hope the class rocks as much as you do tonight!

for me it is drinking PERIOD.

I dont always do it but am ALWAYS SURPRISED how much better I feel during and after any workout when I hydrate while exercising.

I second the choc milk. (carb + protein) I never want to eat after an intense workout but I'm always ready for a drink.
