Jason at My Angle is doing a great contest, do a post of why you felt amazing here add a picture and explain your story. I have to say there are so many moments where I've felt amazing, gosh having children is just so awing, but I took an accomplishment more recent to talk about.
This was the finish to my very first 5K run. It was called the Moon in June run and I did it last summer. I started running in Feb with the couch to 5K program through coolrunnings. And this 5K was a few weeks after my training finished. It was hard, I never thought I could run when I started here is a part of my post after my first run
'Damn Gina!! I started running today and as I'm running on the treadmill, boom boom, whats that.....whats that....OMG, that is my ass jumping around my back!! I always liked my round bottom, but this is not funny to have a shelf back there.'
I started running at around 220lbs, funny thing is I wanted to wait till I was 210 to start, so glad I didn't wait that long.
Anyway on with the story. So this moment you see, I'm just finishing my race, I was very emotional but tried not to cry. I came around the corner and I see my husband and my babies cheering me on. I felt like I finished a marathon. I thought of all my training I did with both my girls in the stroller, how I could only do 2 min at a time and here I am finishing the 5K with non-stop running for 38min. I was so proud of me. I was so nervous before this race, what will others think of me, what if I'm last, and really I'm scared to do this, can I finish. I did finish and I loved it, I decided to do 2 other runs last summer and am planning for lots more this summer. Was I thin no but I was fit enough to do this race and I felt great at what my body could accomplish.
Running is so wonderful, if you can...try it. I'm sure you will be amazed at what you are able to do. I've said it many times before I NEVER thought I'd be running like I do now when I first started. I really did dream of running a half marathon or full, but now I think I could actually do it.
Thanks Jason for creating this contest and for introducing me to many more amazing bloggers out there. It is so wonderful to read about everyone's great moments :)

Wow, that's awesome! From 2 minutes at a time to a 5k, that's pretty cool. :) Definitely something you should feel great about!

Yeah, Sarah! That's a great accomplishment! LOL - I love the "shelf" comment. :0)
A wonderfully uplifting post !
What a motivating post. Makes me want to suck it up and try running, even though I keep putting it off until I lose a bit more too. You should feel really proud at how far you have come.
What a great post and an equally great transformation. One of these days I hope to run as good as you do, but for now I am taking some little baby steps. Thanks for sharing as well. It's very inspiring.

Hi Sarah, what an amazing transformation you have been on.You are a great inspiration to many people.Keep up the good work!
I know exactly how you felt finishing your first 5k! It sounds just like when I finished my first 5k on Thanksgiving 2008.
Love the post and the photo, and GREAT JOB on the weight loss! I started at 223 and am currently at 190, so I feel like you and I are sort of on the same page.

OMG I always call it a butt shelf too! I love it! I found you on Jason's list of contesters. (if that's even a word) I love that photo of you too, when you were "at your heaviest." Just so pretty!
I love the picture! I have a weight that I want to get to before I start running, and you've made me rethink that. I've added you to my reader!
Thanks everyone for all the wonderful comments :)
