So I woke up this morning and thought 'well let's make today a good day'. It was raining and chilly out but that was not going to stop fun here. I was briefly looking at blogs on Saturday and came across a recipe for
green oats. I love oatmeal like there is no tomorrow. I eat it every single morning, so I thought I'd give it a try. I added some flax seed and cinnamon. I didn't mind it, it does taste...
umm green...but I felt good eating it.

I think my daughter's favourite foods are whatever is in my bowl, so she did not object to this new flavour :). It would be a good thing to try for baby's first foods as well. She had about 5-6 spoonfuls.

Lunch was a couscous and chickpea salad. My youngest daughter was good with chickpeas (
garbanzo beans) but not keen on the salad. I will try again but without red onion, I think that was the no no for her.

Dinner was homemade fish sticks, sauteed spinach and beans. I'm so excited that everyone eats these. So much cheaper than buying a box! I use cod.

I was supposed to do a 6mile run this afternoon. I haven't taken the girls for this long of a run lately so I was hesitant in taking them. I decided on a different route that would have us going to 'Papa's' at the halfway mark for a visit. It worked out perfectly. I got 5miles in with them and we survived, no pinching, crying, pushing!! I'm so proud of them. Lots of snacks, books, and great weather (it got sunny and warm in the afternoon,
woohoo).
After dinner we headed out for some ice cream. I really wanted a brownie fudge sundae....but opted out for a skinny vanilla bean latte, yummy and lasts longer :)
So I'm off to a good start, now I have to go finish reading for my mid-term on Tuesday, a 6 week course goes by fast.
