Smarter eating

I may have been within my points for some days this week but as Karen kindly mentioned that I didn't have much protein. And she was very right. I had even mentioned to my husband last night that I needed to eat meat. I had a hungry feeling all day, I did eat (cupcakes are obviously not nutritionally good) I wasn't starving but I just felt I needed more....meat. But I always look for quick meals and forget to take meat out of the freezer, plan a meat meal, etc.

I do eat a lot of vegetables, hummus, beans but I'm not a vegetarian, I can't be that good. I only think vegan, I have no problems with vegans, I think its wonderful if you can do it. But when you will eat eggs and milk, or just fish, etc. so many titles, isn't easier to say you just don't eat meat instead of I'm a lacto-ovo-vegetarian, than having to explain it or how about a Su vegetarianism? Anywho....

My point is Karen was right, I didn't eat enough protein at all this week. I followed the points but I didn't follow the rules. So my goal for next week is to try to follow the rules (plan) in eating better than I did this week. Getting my oils, getting my lean protein, getting my milk servings, getting my multi-vitamin, getting my water.

We shall see how I fared tomorrow at my WI!

I've always had issues with getting in protein, too, more often than not ... and I tend to forget about the whole oil rule altogether. I just don't LIKE oil for the most part!
Good luck with your WI! My day of reckoning is Sunday. Eep! Technically that's tomorrow, huh???

I hope you didn't think I was being critical of your diet when I mentioned it. I know that getting protein is a challenge for me too. Maybe the reason that nutritionists recommend writing down what we eat daily is to see if we are overlooking something.

No Karen not at all, this is what blogging is about, sometimes we miss things and others see it. And I like all the advice I can get :)
