Measuring and counting


Today was my recommitment day. So I got out all my essentials that I've been neglecting the last few months. Something as simple as my WW water jug, the easiest thing to use and I wasn't doing it. So out came all the goodies, scale, water jug, calculator and of course my week 1 book. I took the test to find out my exact points again. To my amazement its 28pts and I was aiming for 25-26pts for so long. Aiming is the key word hear as I never counted the many BLT's (bites, licks and tastes) or the finishing off of my girlies meals...shh! But I'm trying this week, I have some goals that I want to get to for Christmas and I plan on getting there.

low fat turkey chili: turkey 3

1/2 cup brown rice 3

So pretty good, I ate 2 of my Activity points, which is what I would aim for eating half earned and no more than 4.


I broke out my WW scale and weighed my fruit, this was something that we talked about at our meeting 2 weeks ago. Fruit and how many points it can add up to be. One lady said she had an apple that was 4pts! I was surprised, she said it was a huge apple but I normally just count 1pt per fruit however much I eat. To my surprise my apple last week was 2pts and my pear today was 2pts. I know that fruit is good for you but say I have an apple and pear a day, adding an extra 2pts that I'm not counting, it does add up eventually.

Off to plan for tomorrow.

Way to go, Sarah!!! Knowing that we have to recommit isn't a fun feeling, but actually doing it sure can feel awesome, can't it?

Yayy!!! Yup we definitely need the "gear" don't we! lol

Honestly, I count most fruit to be 1 other than banana. Although if I end up with a ginormous honeycrisp, I would consider counting it at two if the rest of the day was "rounded" and a point may have gotten lost somewhere. Know what I mean? I believe in sticking to my points, but I also believe in being reasonable about stuff like that too. I'd never exchange a 2 point apple for a 1 point chocolate kind of thing.

haha - now I know where those extra pounds have come from - my fruit is too big! HAHA

I would never have thought to weigh my fruit!
