I had a blast teaching Bodystep this morning. It was very difficult and I was physically whipped but I pushed through and they had a great time. I've mentioned before I don't normally teach step anymore so its always a different challenge to come back. At about song 8 I decided to check my heartrate...192! Yikes, no wonder my arms didn't want to go up so much. Than I checked again at song 10...183 working at 97%, I didn't catch what I was working at 192, obviously 100% or over, lol. Either way it may have been too high for that long, so I did feel the 'I'm going to barf' feeling after I was done the class. Here I am 2 hours after the class is done and my face is still beet red.
My WI results today, down 0.4lbs. Going down is always good even when its just a little.
I also forgot to mention that I ran 3X this week!!!! One 3K and two 5K. It also meant I did the roll and run (roll out of bed and run before the kids are awake) Getting up that early 6:50am when you work till midnight is not easy but I am determined to get running back into my program. If I have to lose some extra sleeps a couple of days a week to get there it might have to do.

AWESOME! You are so inspring! Keep up the fantastic work.
Have been following your blog for a while and know all about the struggle of losing after having babies. I have a 15 month old and still have a solid 15lbs to go...have lost just shy of 50lbs ( I gain A LOT during pregancy apparently). One quick question,,, it sounds like you're VERY active (running 3x this week, TEACHING a class etc.) This may sound like a dumb question, but have you felt frusterated with the rate that you're losing weight?... You're right any loss is good, but doesn't working out hard and losing 0.4lbs drive you CRAZY? What are your tricks for staying motivated?
P.S. Harry is my DH, not me...LOL
Hi Harry's wife :)
Yes, I do get frustrated but I also don't eat 100% all the time. Life happens and so does chocolate. I started with 90lbs to lose so I'm only about halfway there in 2years. I used to workout 2hrs a day 6 days a week, so cutting it down to maybe 1hr 3x a week is also a big change. Some weeks I only exercise 1hr for the whole week.
Staying motivated in the beginning I gave myself rewards for every 5lbs I lost. Now I don't really do that, I just keep thinking that if I lose another 10lbs I can wear my old jeans.
Its definitely hard, I think I get more frustrated with not having the time to plan properly or get the workouts in that I want to do, while still trying to keep everything normal at home. Balancing everything is the hardest part for me.
Ahhh then you're just like the rest of us! Balance is hard!! But holy cow...you used to work out 2 hrs/day 6 days a week.... That's an insane amount of exercise!!!
A successful eating and exercise plan takes a HUGE amount of mental energy and like you said, planning. And you're right, sometimes life definately gets in the way....it's the story of my life right now with 2 kids!! These last 15lbs have definately been the hardest. So looking forward to maintenance...though I KNOW it will always be a constant struggle. Keep up the good work..you're looking fab in your green dress!! ann :-)
