I live in the flatlands

I visited my sister in Waterloo yesterday and today. Can I say that I live in the flattest part of the country? Not a hill in site here. I can see downtown Detroit from my street, its probably 20K away! Why am I noticing this now? Well we did a bit of walking with my sister and her dog, to parks, shopping, etc and there are hills, perhaps not even big compared to other areas but they are to me. Good for the heart but I felt so out of shape. When I think about running I thought, "I could never run here it must be so difficult." We had a good time.

Tomorrow back to exercise and better eating. I need to get back into my running shoes and hit the pavement again, they have both been neglected lately.

I did hit a health food store and found some Larabars that I haven't been able to find here (I know I'm so deprived, lol) The chocolate ones and the coconut cream pie one. Yeah!

Yay for Larabars! I like the cherry pie the best. I made a homemade version a while back that was easy and tasted just like the real deal. You can search my blog for the recipe or send me an email and I'll get you the recipe if you're interested!

Well I'm originally from Alberta so I'll debate you on the flattest part of the country! When people ask me what I miss the most about the prairies, I always say the sky, and they almost never understand. It's huge! Way bigger than Ontario skies. ;-P
