So here I am 1 1/2 weeks later and still sick. I'm not very happy with what has happened to my body since not exercising. I was doing pretty good, actually very good with the workouts and feeling good with the way my body shape was going. I still weighed the same this morning 185lbs which is good but I fear/know I've lost muscle mass and potentially have gained weight. I'm just so surprised at how this little virus/cold knocked me out for so long. I am one to not let sickness get in the way of exercise and this just took over.
This is how impressed I am currently, lol!
Anyway, tomorrow I'm hoping to get back to my running. I wanted to do a 1/2 marathon which is now only 28 days away and I've really done 1 run per week for the last 3 weeks....eeks! I plan on getting my runs in and putting the Insanity workout on the back burner for the next month. We will see how this works out. I still have to register because I'm chicken and don't think I can do it, we will see how I feel over the next 2 weeks and decide from there.
Tonight's dinner was ground chicken tacos.

You can do it! Remember running a 1/2 Marathon you're in it to finish now to win it! I keep reminding myself of that and mine is only 28 days away.
Register for it and don't be scared. I remind myself that you're allowed to walk the half-marathon if you need to and you will rock it! I have faith in you and if you run it you'll get to meet me!
A lot can happen in a month, you can get yourself to where you need to be. Have confidence in yourself...I have it in you. You can do it for sure.
My half was scheduled at the end of May and after missing 1.5 weeks of running in Feb for a flu and then 2 weeks in March for my foot, I decided that I won't be running the half (that being said, I may change my mind if training goes SUPER well). For me, my foot was still a little painful and so I didn't want to risk it. When it's a flu, it's a different story though so you need dto decide for yourself
You can't see this but I have my pompoms in hand and I'm cheering you on. You can do it! I need you to be able to do it so I can do mine in fall :D I'm super scared but seeing others like you do it gives me inspiration! You'll do great!
