We've been having lots of stuff brought in to work this week. We also had a big 'Christmas' dinner, I think I faired well. It was quite easy: pasta, salad, chicken, potatoes, roast beef, beans. I selected a few things to make a meal and one plate only. I wasn't stuffed and tried what I wanted.
Last night we had a little longer lunch. The problem with this is I finished my lunch and than had to stare at a plate full of delicious goodies for 20mins. I succeeded in not trying anything. The goodies were pushed many times but I just said 'I can't'....'but just one won't hurt'.....'oh yes it would'.
So far a success, now if I can keep this will of steal up for another 2 weeks!
My goal is to have 1 desert or 2 sweet goodies at a gathering. I find if I limit to 1 or 2 things, I should be good. I will still get to taste things and I will choose more wisely. I hope I can be good.

One or two treats is a good way to do it, you still feel like you had a treat, but I do think it makes you choose wisely and think about what you are eating!
