BPA Anxiety

I am seriously having panic attacks over this. I know there is nothing I can do now about the past but I just keep dwelling on these bottles, food containers, food, everything. It really is driving me bonkers.

So I have a stainless steel water bottle for a few months now, I drink out of a #5 at home. I bought a glass bottle for dd but its really not needed yet since I'm still breastfeeding. Dh thinks I'm crazy to even be worried about this but really we can get cancer from anywhere, if I can prevent it than I will. I used BPA bottles with dd and heated them up!! Than you look more, my water cooler is bad, ketchup bottle, apple sauce container, canned veggies and fruit, formula, who knows what else, practically everything.

So here I am with 10 avent bottles to get rid of. Do you think I recycle them? No they aren't recyclable, so I put them in the garbage; to go to a landfill; to pollute the future vegetation for my kids? what the hell? As you can see this really stresses me out. What to do, now I have all this crap sitting in my cupboards which was fine last week but not today. And you know the stupidest thing is I heard about this last April and still used my stinkin' bottles because they were so $$, nice.

There is my rant for the day. I know tomorrow it will be a new thing, we just can't protect them from everything and that is the worst feeling in the world.

**Just adding another press release from today***

This totally freaks me out. I have 3 bottles of water a day from a bottle made of BPA. The article you linked to said the Hudson Bay company has a buy back program. Maybe you could get rid of them that way?

Thanks Journey, I think you need a receipt though but I'll try :). I think they should have a program maybe like "come discard all your BPA bottles here on such and such a date" That would make me feel better, like battery disposal.
