My run on Saturday night went well, I ran my faster 5K at around 30min, however I don't have the exact chip time yet. It was hard and I pushed myself to get there within 30min. I think that is why I like running in these events, I can continue to improve and see where I've come from. I first did this race 2 years ago when my youngest was 7months old and than I got hooked into running events.
It was a hot 30C with a high humidity, however we did have some breeze on the course. I was feeling the non-running for 3 weeks, so I was mildly uncomfortable. I also took a Bodypump class in the morning which made for some sore hip flexors.
Here we are waiting for the events to start.
Unfortunately most or our night was spent doing this....
This is the start of the kids dash, E in the yellow was not having it.
And here I am about 20 yards to the finish. No smiles I was focussing on that number, lol.
And a sweaty success!

Way to go, Sarah!!!
Looks like a lot of fun. And good job on 30 minutes!!
Your girls are ADORABLE!
Great job! And how cute are your girls!!
Wow! Awesome time! Congratulations!
Yay! Good job!
Sounds like a success all around! Congrats on the time - I'm hoping to get myself to that pace by the end of the year! (right now I'm down from 12+ min miles to around 11:30-11:45).
I am the same way at the end of races - I always look somewhat miserable, pushing really hard to get to the finish line before the clock clicks over to the next minute. Either that or I'm looking straight down at my wrist hitting "stop" on my watch. Or just making terribly nasty faces! I guess finish-line pictures are overrated!
Congrats, Sarah!
Beautiful!!
Great stuff, Sarah!
That's pretty neat that they have a kids run, too. I didn't know they had that.
Congrats! You rocked that time! Sucks how long it takes Chip times huh!
