It's not the weekend yet....

And I'm drinking wine. I'm not a drinker at all but man oh man it has been quite a couple of weeks here. I have not exercised except for my mandatory teaching classes. I have been resorting to comfort foods as well.

We are about half way done fixing our basement...thank goodness. House is still a disaster, I have no motivation.

I was to run a 10K on Saturday but opted to do 5k instead because 1. I haven't run in 2 weeks 2. why disappoint myself?? So I'll just run hard on Saturday.

I have a 2 day weekend finally!!!! I've tried to read some blogs and catch up, i've missed you so :)

Needlesss to say I'm on my comeback, now no more flooding.

We miss you too! I always love reading about your workout adventures and your girls. Nice to know others out there are doing the same thing I am, just trying to make it all work! Good luck on your run and I hope your basement is tip top soon!

Oy! We have had so much rain here too. It's awful. I remember dealing with the clean up of a basement flood - so much work. I hope that doesn't happen this year - I am quite sure it would put me over the edge!

Good luck with your run this weekend!

Ok, since you've had a rough time of it lately (busy, tired etc), I think you deserve to treat yourself for this upcoming outdoor vineyard wedding. Go shopping!! (Not sure where you live, but the BAY has some gorgeous spring/summer dresses right now, great selection too.) OR If you are in a big enough centre with a good mall, then try Le Chateau for dresses (their XL fits up to a size 16.) I also find great dresses at Winners, Laura, and Melanie Lynn stores. (Though Laura and Melanie Lynn are more $$$)
If you don't have one already, you need an a-line style dress, 1-2 inches ABOVE the knee. Florals are hugely popular right now, but I prefer to stick with solid colours b/c they're more slimming. (obviously)
Maybe something in a royal/Mediterranean blue, peridot(lime) green or even fushia. I LOVE colours for summer weddings. (not sure if your hair is still red, but i'm sure u know which colours compliment you best.) If it's cool out you'll need a small sweater style shrug, (bolero style) or a solid coloured pashmina to wrap yourself in the evening. I like a nice wedge heel (espadrille sandal) or at least something with a kitten heel to elongate your leg. I normally love heels, but it you're walking on grass/dirt you'll sink into the turf so stick with a nice wedge heeled sandal. Accessories are huge especially if your dress is understate or simple. Maybe a bold necklace that makes a statement could be fun. But if that's not you then go for simple gold accessories. Gold earrings (hoops), bracelets and necklaces are SO summery. If you don't have any of this then march yourself down to the BAY's accessory counter, Claires, Le Chateau or the Aldo accessory store. Cute stuff for cheap!!! Take the time to pull your outfit together, you deserve to look fab for this summer wedding! Phew! Long enough answer eh?! LOLOL
