Get into the Groove

I got a good run in this morning. I did a little over 9km, it took a while about 1hr and 15min. It was stinkin' hot this morning (and the rest of the day) so I got the run in early.

When I started this morning I had these 2 big balls of anger on the back of my legs, my hamstrings were not happy with me in the least. I've never had this before, so I walked a few times and ran, stretched halfway through the run too. I believe it was from my non-running ( it was exactly 3 weeks before my 5km, my last run was June 1) and than pushing my limits on Saturday for my 5km. So I should focus on stretching it out this week....and not doing that again!

I started journalling again, the flood took away all momemtum for that. We are still not back to normal, hubby is doing the work so his to-do list is enormous now, lol and so is mine.We're getting there.

I'm trying to fit more protein in this week, I'm trying to get back on track which for me means a lot of veggie soup, I've added red kidney beans to it and fillls me better along with a dose of good protein.

I'm also trying to get my running back on schedule to get myself into the groove. It may be hard with weather, vacation and simply no time but I usually fit something in somewhere. I'm reading a great running book currently and it is giving me lots of inspiration. I'll review soon, and yes I can actually read!!! It may be a page at a time but I haven't done this since I was pregnant!

It can be so hard to get back in the groove but it looks like you're well on your way!!! Sorry the house is still bothersome but that will be a thing of the past someday, too. Honest!!!
