I went back to work this week, which has been a little killer on my body, but all is good. Monday night was the beginning of release week at our gym. I released Bodystep and Bodypump with my fellow instructors and it was LOADS of fun.
Tuesday was a no go for a run, my husband works two jobs. This is where I find it really hard to fit in runs. I wish we had room for a treadmill, it would be so much easier. Anyway, Wednesday I set my alarm early to head out for a run before work...but apparently turned the volume down?? I missed my alarm but I still woke up early (good thing!) and I did some strength training as I had a half hour 'left' in my workout time. I planned on running at night after my girlies were asleep. Plan was changed as my youngest got the stomach flu just as I was leaving for the gym. She's doing better but this is where I usually don't succeed...curve balls.
I'm hoping to get away and head to the gym tonight pending no one else gets sick. This half marathon training is going to be tough. My schedule is to run 5 days a week and I'm already planning on getting it down to 4. Maybe I just have too much on my plate to achieve this goal? Maybe I need better planning and eliminating some things that I do. Juggling act is what it is...family, fun, food, exercise, personal time, oh yeah and work!
Replanning my week is the next action.

It's a tricky balance but it looks like you have it pretty under control. Good luck!
I admire you, really.
Teaching hardcore classes and being a mommy. Two things I can't imagine ever doing.
Life has a way of messing up your plans, doesn't it? Hope your little one is doing better.
Balancing everything is crazy, isn't it?! Just keep at it and you will succeed. I think of all the time I wasted before I had kids ... it amazes me how lazy I was. Mommies are the best at "fitting it all in". YOU CAN DO IT!
You can do this! You just have to make a routine for yourself and before you know it you've made it a habit. Everything gets easier once you've been doing it for a while and then if the odd monkey wrench appears you can roll with it. Everything I've read on doing a half-marathon says you only need to really be pushing it two or three times a week with easier workouts or cross training the other days and you still have lots of time to prepare for your half-marathon! I know you can do it.
