Its Summer!!

Yesterday was a fun, sunny day to start off the summer and Father's Day. Visiting lots of family. I didn't take pics of food just my home ones. I wanted to start off the day good because I would be having two big meals out. So I made a big batch of green oatmeal, I added a banana before blending and it tasted so good :). So I made about 3 cups worth of oatmeal added 2 tbsp of flax seed, cinnamon, 1 banana and 2 cups of spinach. Baby daughter loves this, my other cutie, I needed to bribe her with something else to eat it, she didn't like the banana taste?? ( I thought that was the best). I have lots left over for the rest of the week too.
For lunch I had some hummus on wasa crackers and saute veggies, I really liked this combo. And hubby likes the spicy hummus on the crackers so that is a bonus snack idea!
(sorry I had a picture uploaded and now somehow its gone :()

The rest of the day was brunch at my dad's (which I should have taken pictures because he is such a healthy foodie and it was delish) smoked salmon, fresh juice, blintzes (oh my!), blueberry sauce, fruit to name a few of my favourites.

Dinner was at the in-laws, steak, potatoes, corn. I was full so I really didn't eat much.

Today was the same breakfast, lunch was leftover ricotta pasta and my dinner was after my Bodypump class: eggs, veggies, toast, nice and easy. I have a pomegranate that I'm going to enjoy in a few minutes.

I had such a big loss last week but I need to keep this momentum going. So I'm really trying to keep to similar foods as last week. Lots of salads for sure.

If I'm a little sparse this week its because I have an exam that I should be studying for to finish off this session of school. Whew, I will be happy when its over.

Sounds like you did pretty good.

I'm curious how you make your oatmeal. At what point do you blend everything?

I shouldn't be reading blogs when I'm hungry and people post yummy looking food. I could really go for some pasta with ricotta right about now.

You did great yesterday... I know it's always a challenge but hang in there we will get there.

Sounds like you had a great day food wise. I'm curious as to where you got a pomegranate this time of the year? I've been craving one and been looking EVERYWHERE!
