Achilles soreness and pain. Help me!!!
I looked on the internet about what I should do and the common response was rest, ice, and stregthen slowly. :(
Any other ideas??
I walk about 3 miles at work too :(.
I still really want to get my long run in on the weekend to prepare me for my half (which is still far away, October). I know the answer but just thought I'd throw it out there.

I still suffer with this off and on...but mine flared up last fall when I was training for a half marathon. What helped: new shoes, stretching all the time (esp right before you get out of bed), take a glucosamine supplement (I have a good one if you want the link)and last......CUT OUT SUGAR 100%. That last one was the kicker! I was eating healthy and totally cut out sugar (still used honey) and it went away. If I added sugar back into my diet, within 2 days it was back! I've experimented with this a couple times and I swear it was the sugar every time.
