I tried a beginner yoga class today, wow the things you learn at a real studio as compared to a gym, community centre or video. The hardest thing I learned today was the placement of weight in my hands. I cannot do this properly, it will definitely take awhile to get it correct. The move that I cannot do today was the plow and the set up for the headstand...why? well of course my gigantic boobs are preventing me from breathing once again and since yoga is all breath it makes it difficult.
The instructor was getting me into position against a wall and she says "now just breathe and lift one leg in the air". My thoughts....do I let her know now or later that I actually can't breathe at all. Tried it, failed and will try again sometime soon. Hopefully with a wee bit smaller chest.
The instructor also said it doesn't matter if you come every day or not, you will still benefit from the breathing and bring it into your own daily life. Oh how I need this. I am very fortunate to be blessed with healthy beautiful kids but some days I need to breathe more than other days.
Got my run in today too, finding time for this is presenting the most challenges. I only run 3X a week but with littles ones that nap at different times and other life going on, its hard to squeeze in some running time. But got 3 in this week.
