Getting back into the swing of things is getting harder as I get older I find. I used to be able to either get up early or go super late to the gym and get a great sweat session in. Now I'd rather not put the effort in....
I did a quick session at the gym tonight, I love how I look when I'm working out. I love sweating and feeling strong but I just don't put the time in there. I met with my trainer (eating trainer) tonight and I told her I just don't workout anymore this is my main problem. My eating is ok but that mixed with not exercising creates more inches added to my abdomen, boo :(. I ran for 20 min and did 20 min of weights. Afterwords I stopped at the grocery store to pick up essentials that I missed on Sunday...GREENS...spinach, green beans, peppers and swiss chard. I'm trying to wrap my head around getting back in gear and having a better choice for foods certainly helps.
On the trip I did well with eating and I was trying to figure out why. I didn't snack. I had a big breakfast, a smaller lunch, a snack most days, a decent size dinner with dessert sometimes wine and coffee and that was about it. I wasn't hungry but I was enjoying my time and didn't think of food. If only I won the lottery (like everyone else) and life could be a vacation!
This is where I'm at, struggling but I'll get there.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends. Being so close to the states our city is certainly ready for this weekend, I think everyone has their lights up and we even have our own 'black' friday sales, not as good but close. Enjoy your families, time together, good healthy food, some dessert, and shopping!!! oh and football too.
