To be still in Novemeber and have to get my winter running pants out is a sad state. I love summer and the heat and I....love.....snow (gasp). My theory is if its going to be cold, let it snow so we can get out and enjoy it. Grant it I don't actually get too much snow here. Sadly a big snowfall for us is a foot, my mom gets a ton of snow, mountainous snow, above our van, but for me I like what we get.
Anyhow this post wasn't about snow, but about me getting my arse out to run in the cold. I layered up to get back into my running. I did 5.6km this morning with a little hill I ran twice. Nice and easy and done in 45min. I didn't eat before my run, I usually don't when its a run that is shorter than 8km. When I got home I had a green shake made with 1 cup almond milk, 1 cup of spinach, 1 frozen banana, and 1/4 cup of almond butter along with some glucosamine powder.

I love working out when it is cold outside.
I share your sadness about breaking out the cold weather gear. For me it means goodbye to outside running until Spring. It's just not worth risking injury this winter by doing my workouts outside. Glad you enjoyed your run.
