Back to regular programming

I haven't been blogging much on food or losing weight lately so I figured I should get back to that.

This morning I set my alarm for 5:50am to get my arse out of bed and go for a run (I'm on vacation this week so I don't have to work) but we had a playdate for 9am and I missed a long run on Sunday. The heat is really hampering my efforts to do a longer run, I just feel as if I can't breath, it really bums me out. So I cut 3km off my morning run today but I still managed 9km.

I also started back to my journalling, I find it much easier to do when I'm off. To take the time to plan and write.

We are going away for a few days tomorrow, we will be in a hotel but it has a fully functioning kitchen. I'm really going to try to stay on track and work through temptations. Although a few margeritas will probably make me smile bigger, lol.

The other day a member from the gym came up to me and said 'you know I see you running all the time, you should be careful....all that pounding'. Ugh, I hate people like this. I simply replied that I know my limits and I am not injuring myself, but seriously sometimes I wish people would just shut their mouths. Perhaps she didn't mean it to come out that way but her tone was the 'I told you so' that you get from your grandma or mom. When I did start running at 225lbs, I felt it. I felt it A LOT! But I adjusted to what worked for me and I have been running since.

My eats for today:
pre run: 1/2 banana 1
breakfast: oatmeal 2, blueberries 0, almond milk 1
snack: coffee 2, nectarine 1, 12 almonds 2
lunch: bun 4, turkey slices 1, cheese 3, pickles 0
snack: yogurt 2, raspberries 0
dinner: taco salad: spinach/cilantro 0, ground chicken 3, cheese 2, avocado 4, nachos 6

Total: 34!
Daily allowance: 27 pts
I was famished today and I was 7pts over, I know I earned about that in activity but I don't like to eat them all! Oh well.

Wow...Some people just don't think before they talk! Boo to them!

I hear ya about the heat and running...its kicking my butt too (although your distances totally blow mine out of the water!)

You go girl!

I totally give you props for getting up that early on your week off. It's not easy, but you're doing what you have to do. Good stuff!

Congrats on your weight loss - wow impressive. I have never taken up running and am at the weight you were when you started. Any tips on how to get going. (Can you leave a reply on my blog?) I do walk a lot but with a heat index of 105 I haven't done much of that lately either. I'm adding your blog to my sidebar.
