In July, I started a very strict program with a personal trainer at my gym. Just a bit of background, she offered to do this with me for free...(Me: stuck at the same weight for 10mths) jumped at the idea. Unknowingly how hard it would be to be this strict.
I started with the 14 day eating regime which literally consisted of meat, green veggies and nuts for all meals....blah! But I made it. After the original 14 days we add things back in the eating plan and adjust specifically to my needs. It was going well, in August I was feeling fantastic! Never tired, my results were good and my body was using my food properly to lose weight. By Labour weekend I slacked, I was away and literally tired of eating this way. Still trying to eat properly but indulging here and there as well. 2 weeks later I'm still doing the same.
I met with my personal trainer to see if she wanted to continue with me and the plan. She was happy too keep going and mentioned that this 'boredom' is completely normal and this is part of us learning on what works and what doesn't for my body. While talking to her I realized that I was relying on coffee again for energy and was quite tired through the day. My stomach was churning alot as well. She said this is what we have learned, my body works well with the eating plan, when I get tired, upset stomach, etc. from food this will perhaps encourage me to continue eating well. I actually resorted to making my own coffee! (I know big whoop) but I rarely use that machine and I had it out all week.
My measurements, measurements don't lie. I knew what I was eating and without explaining too much to bore you, certain measurements tell her/I that I was eating too many carbohydrates and not processing them well. Whereas in August I was eating the right amount and processing into energy to be used in my workouts. The science of this program makes complete sense to me.
So we continue on. I don't start over I'm just learning from my CHOICES and how it affects me in the long run.
So far even with my few weeks of being 'off' a bit I'm still down 8lbs and 2% bodyfat.

Yay for being down 2 pounds! It sounds like it was a pretty strict eating plan back in the summer but it obviously works!
